Turn off the air conditioning unit while cleaning the filter. Locate the ventilation duct where the filter is positioned. There are two types of air conditioning units depending upon the position of the filters. You can find them both on the walls or at the ceilings.

Open the hatch where your air filter is installed. On the top of the hatch, we find two latches that spin over it. Unscrewing them can take out the hatch. Gently remove the filter by dragging it from the ventilation duct. Well, this is the case when the filter is installed at the ceiling. You do not need to remove the filter in case it is installed on the walls.

Take the services of the vacuum cleaner to clear all the buildups that usually get accumulated in the filters. A high amount of dirt and dust is removed from the filter. Having cleared the filter, you will seriously find them look bright and a bit luminous.

Ensuring, you have properly vacuum the device, place in the filter. At last, tighten the hatches by rotating the latches clockwise.

In case we fail to care for the air conditioning filters as advised, we find that after some time that the appliance takes a lot more time in providing us the needed cool. It also eats into more electricity and thus adds to the electricity bill.
