Home Stage And Get Your Home Sold Fast

Are you considering putting your house up for sale, but not sure where to start? Afraid it will take too long to sell, or that you will not get the price you want? Think about staging your home, or in other words, setting the scene for immediate buyer interest in your property.

Home staging the outside of your home increases curb appeal. Here are three easy things you can do to make the outside of your home look better for potential buyers:

1. Stand in the street and look at your house. This is what prospects see when they drive up to your house. If there is any paint that is peeling or a front yard that looks bad, you need to fix it. If prospects get a negative impression of the outside of your house, they may not even call your agent. They may figure that if the outside of the house looks bad, it means that you did not take very good care of your house and that the inside is going to have big problems to.

2. Now stand outside your front door and look around everywhere. While your agent is trying to get the right key to open the door, potential buyers are standing behind her looking around at everything. You want to see what they will see. Are there dead plants that you need to remove? Remember, first impressions are everything.

It is very important that you spend time fixing these things. Also, because we are in a bad market, you should automatically put a new coat of paint on your house.

3. Do not forget the backyard. While that might not be part of the potential buyers first impression experience, you still should make sure it is in the best condition possible. Pull up weeds, water plants, do some sweeping (if thats applicable in your case) and maybe even purchase new furniture or accessories (plant pots, bird Houses, etc.)

All of the tips above lead into this last tip: put yourself in the potential buyers shoes. What would you want the seller to fix before placing an offer on your home? What first impressions do you get about your house? Is your home something that you would buy?

And do not worry about spending several thousand dollars to get your house ready to sell ” you will get it all back when your house sells. Proper staging helps you sell your house in a shorter time and at the price you want.
