Thanks Terry - you raise some very good points - and searching online is a very good idea. One alternative that you’ve not raised though is the possibility of “private storage”.
This type of service allows you to negotiate storage direct with the space owner - which could be a private individual or business that have spare space available for rent. These are not necessarily traditional storage facilities, and an may not have all the security features - but they may be much more convenient - and significantly cheaper.
